Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Is Clear on Their Guidelines
Video Transcribed: Oklahoma Attorney Earl Lawson with the Unemployment Experts, and I am answering questions that I get over the internet. Today’s question is, “Do I have to accept the first job offered to me?” Quick answer to that is no. The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission will not make you take a job that you do not want.
I mean they look at the long term of the employment as well as the short term. It’s true they don’t want to pay you the unemployment because it looks bad on their records, but they also don’t want you to be in a job you don’t want or won’t stay at. No, you don’t have to accept the first job, but you do have to apply and you do have to apply at least three times during the week and you do have to report that or they cut you off on that.
I know it’s terrible. And if you don’t report it, you don’t get paid that week. If you have any further questions about unemployment benefits and contacting the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, please contact our website, write your question down. I will be happy to answer those anytime you want it. I look forward to seeing you in the next video. Be good and happy job hunting.
