Filing for Unemployment

If You’re Fired Over The Misconduct of Someone Else You Can Qualify For Unemployment in Oklahoma.

By Staff

An employer is usually not going to be forthcoming on what he says.

Video Transcribed:  Oklahoma Attorney Earl Lawson, here. Yeah, it’s me. I’m back. You can’t get rid of me. Yeah. And, welcome to the world of the unemployment. And, the reason I say that is because you wouldn’t be looking at this video if you were not unemployed. So, welcome to the world with unemployed. Now, you need to file for your Oklahoma unemployment benefits.

One thing you need to remember in falling for your employment. An employer is usually not going to be forthcoming on what he says. Okay? That’s when you need an attorney to go fight for you. But, with that said, what if you go to work and let’s just say your ex boyfriend comes in and starts causing all kinds of trouble. Your employer says, “don’t let him come back in here.” You say, “I can’t help it. I don’t really have anything to do with him. I broke up with him several months ago and he just wants… won’t give it up.”

He says, “You either make him quit coming in or I’m going to fire you.” Now, he can fire you, he can fire you for any number of reasons. Because, he can fire you for coming there with purple hair. Which, a lot of people do nowadays. But, if he fires you, because, your ex boyfriend comes in and keeps saying things that not supposed to and, running other customers off and everything, and he fires you at that point you should be eligible for unemployment benefits.

Because, it’s your misconduct that the statute says that you must be denied unemployment benefits. How about that? Since your ex boyfriend, you have no way to control him. It’s not your misconduct. It’s your ex boyfriend’s misconduct to got you fired. And, so, you should get your unemployment benefits.

That’s when you need to get an attorney because, your employer is going to tell you. It’s going to tell the Oklahoma armed security commission that it’s all your fault that you kept telling him to come in. Or, you didn’t stop him. Give us a call. We can help you. Thank you.
